Rick Harrison of “Pawn Stars” Mourns the Unexpected Passing of His Son Adam

As Rick Harrison’s second son, Adam Harrison, passed away tragically, tributes to the “Pawn Stars” star and his family are flooding in.

At the age of 39, Adam passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday, January 19. Laura Herlovich on behalf of the family has requested privacy at this trying time for them to grieve.

Herlovich disclosed to the Associated Press that an overdose of fentanyl is suspected to have caused Adam’s death.

Rick Harrison stressed the seriousness of the nation’s fentanyl problem in a statement to TMZ, calling for increased awareness and action.

For an official report, USA TODAY has contacted the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

On their Instagram profiles, Rick Harrison and his other son, Corey Harrison, both sent emotional tributes to Adam, expressing their deep sorrow and memories of their departed family member.

Many people are thinking about Rick Harrison, the Harrison family, and their renowned company that was featured in the hit television programme “Pawn Stars” as the family deals with this tragedy.

When “Pawn Stars” debuted in 2009, Rick Harrison, his family, and the well-known Gold & Silver Pawn Shop were featured.

The store was founded in 1980 by Rick Harrison’s father, Richard Harrison, and under Rick’s leadership, it changed into its present configuration in 1988.

With up to 3,000 visitors every day, the store has become as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Journal and Review reports that Rick Harrison is the father of six children: three daughters, Sarina, Ciana, and Marissa, and three sons, Corey, Adam, and Jake.

Though he periodically worked at the store, Adam—fondly known as “Wax”—never made an appearance on the show.

Rick’s youngest son, Jake, and his oldest son, Corey, have both made frequent appearances on the show.
