Latest Developments in the Death of Chef Anne Burrell at 55

More than a month after the untimely death of celebrity chef Anne Burrell in June 2025, the cause has been confirmed as suicide. On July 24, the New York City Medical Examiner revealed that her death was a result of acute intoxication, caused by a toxic mix of amphetamines, antihistamines, and alcohol. This revelation has stunned fans and family alike, adding a somber final chapter to her already turbulent life.

Burrell, celebrated for her role on Worst Cooks in America and other Food Network shows, was found unconscious in her Brooklyn home on June 17.
