A blonde walks into a bank

A blonde enters into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. She says she’s going to Europe on business for two weeks and needs $5,000. The bank officer informs the blonde that the bank will require some form of collateral for the loan, so she turns over the keys to a new Mercedes Benz SL500. The automobile is parked on the street in front of the bank; she has the title, and everything looks good. The bank agrees to accept the car as security for the loan.

The bank’s president and officers all have a good chuckle at the blond for using a $110,000 Mercedes as security for a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Benz into the underground garage and parks it. Two weeks later, the blonde returns and repays the $5,000 plus interest, which amounts to $15.41. The loan officer says:

“Miss, we are delighted to have had your business, and this transaction has gone quite well, but we are a little confused. While you were away, we investigated you and discovered that you are a multimillionaire. What amazes us is why you would bother borrowing $5,000. The blonde responds. “Where else in New York City can I park my Car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?”
