Melania Trump has kept a low profile during her husband’s second term in the White House, making few public appearances. Soon, however, she will return to the spotlight as Fox News anchor Sean Hannity announced she will receive a special award.

Every year, Fox News hosts their annual Patriot Awards. The event celebrates “America’s unsung heroes,” honoring members of the military and emergency workers, as well as ordinary people who have helped their communities.

This year’s show airs Thursday, November 6, at The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, New York. According to TV Insider, awards include Young Patriot, Heroism, T2T Stephen Siller Award, Most Valuable Patriot, Salute to Service, Patriot of the Year, and the new Honor Award.

Moreover, this year, another award is being introduced: The Charlie Kirk Legacy Award. It will be presented yearly to a recipient “who embodies Charlie’s mission and his spirit of free speech, faith, and family,” Fox said in a press release.

The first recipient will be Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk. She will be presented with the award by country star Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, alongside Fox News anchor Jesse Watters. Jason Aldean will also perform two of his songs Try That in a Small Town and How Far Does a Goodbye Go, during the ceremony.

Melania Trump honored with Patriot of the Year Award

While many famous television personalities and politicians will be in attendance, the Patriot Award will also feature the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump. In fact, she will be a recipient of an award: “Patriot of the Year Award.”

Live on Fox, anchor Sean Hannity revealed the news. Stating that the gala is “the most patriotic award show on television,” he said Melania will be honored with the “Patriot of the Year Award,” though details on why weren’t disclosed.

“First Lady of our country, Melania Trump, will be joining us live on stage this Thursday to get a very important award,” Hannity said.
