Twins celebrate their 80th birthday together but 103-year-old mom is the guest of honor

It was a milestone birthday for both of them but all they wanted to do was celebrate their mom. 🥰

Any birthday is worth celebrating, even if it’s with family, friends, or by yourself.

It’s even more worth celebrating when you reach 80 years old with your twin sibling and your 103-year-old mother is still alive at your side.

David Mosher and Winnie Mosher Merrill live in Brunswick, Maine and they’re so grateful and blessed to still be celebrating it together.

And they’re even happier that they got to celebrate their 80th birthday party with their centenarian mother.

Helen Mosher was 103 years old.

Few people can say they’ve experienced this.

Plus they had just celebrated the turnover of a brand new year.

Helen was only 23 years old when she gave birth to her twin children.

Many descendants came after.

And reports say she had 79 descendants at her age and she was blessed to enjoy life with them.

Wearing matching red sweaters, David and Winnie arranged for food and cake for the celebration.

But before they started eating, Helen prayed, blessing her family and the country.

Their guests laughed and smiled as they sang “Happy Birthday” to the twins while their mother joined them.

Helen has lived through a lot.

And David and Winnie’s joint 80th birthday celebration was definitely one of the highlights of her life.

She knew she did a great job taking care of herself to be able to live to be more than a hundred years old.

And she also did a great job raising her family and seeing their growth.

Even though her children are already senior citizens, she was still worried about them, as any mother would be.

Helen also loved to watch baseball and always kept a scoreboard during every game.

Was it her love for baseball that gravitated Winnie towards adding baseball to their lives when she married former Yankee Manager Stump Merrill?

Who knows?

But one thing is for sure, Helen’s favorite player is still “that handsome Andrew Benintendi of the Boston Red Sox. ”

David and Winnie have another sibling named Richard and the three of them gave Helen around 76 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Amazing.

It was so great that they were able to celebrate this birthday and life’s highlight.

One last round

It would be the last time Helen would celebrate their birthday.

Helen would pass away 11 months after they celebrated this milestone.

Helen passed on with no regrets.

She joined her husband of 64 years, the love of her life, Charles Mosher in the afterlife.

As any close family would, they celebrated her life because she celebrated their lives with them.

And for this, they have the fondest memories of their family matriarch.
