Trump Unveils Bold Cabinet Plans in First Meeting of His Second Term – Musk Promises a Tech Overhaul

Elon Musk addressed government spending cuts at President Donald Trump’s first cabinet meeting of his second term, warning that the U.S. could go “bankrupt” without drastic action. Despite reported tensions, Trump insisted his team was “thrilled” with Musk’s influence.

Wearing a MAGA cap, Musk joked about providing “humble technical support” while unveiling a “Tech Support” t-shirt.

Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency sent controversial emails demanding federal employees justify their roles or face termination. Trump dismissed concerns, stating, “ALL CABINET MEMBERS ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH ELON.”The meeting also covered Trump’s planned tariffs on Europe and direct talks with Vladimir Putin. Musk, a major Trump donor, remains a dominant force in Washington, often seen closer to Trump than his own vice president.
