Tragic End in Search for 9-Year-Old Melina Frattolin

The search for 9-year-old Melina Frattolin ended in tragedy when she was found deceased in Ticonderoga, New York.

Melina was reported missing by her father, Luciano Frattolin, on the night of July 19 near Exit 22 on I-87 in Lake George.

He claimed she might have been abducted, triggering an intense multi-agency search involving police, K9 units, and aviation teams.

As the investigation unfolded, law enforcement identified inconsistencies in Luciano’s story and later confirmed there was

no evidence of an abduction. Melina’s body was discovered by a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation officer during a grid

search in a wooded area. The New York State Police have since taken over the case and emphasized that there is no ongoing public threat.

The Police Benevolent Association of New York expressed deep sorrow over Melina’s death, extending condolences to her family

and recognizing the tireless efforts of the officers involved.

The heartbreaking news has prompted an outpouring of grief from the public, with many mourning the loss of such a young life.

As the community reels from this tragedy, investigators continue to seek answers about the circumstances leading to Melina’s disappearance and death.
