Swamp People’ Star Passed Away

Junior Edwards, one of the original stars of the History Channel’s Swamp People, has died, according to a Facebook post from his grandson and co-star, “Little” Willie Edwards.

The exact date of Junior’s death and his cause of death have not been shared publicly. Earlier this month, his grandson mentioned that Junior had been in poor health. His age at the time of death is also unknown.

Junior Edwards was a well-known alligator hunter and reality TV star from Louisiana, best recognized for his role on the History Channel’s Swamp People. He spent over 40 years living off the land, hunting gators and fishing in the Atchafalaya Basin.

Junior became a fan favorite when the show premiered in 2010, thanks to his tough, no-nonsense attitude and deep knowledge of the swamp. He appeared regularly through Season 6 and returned briefly in Season 12.
