Single Mom Gets Help In Texas When Customer Stops In And Leaves A $4,000 Tip

A single mom gets help in Texas when a customer stops in and leaves a $4,000 tip. This woman was an angel in disguise for Chelsea Bell Lantrip.

She had no idea that when she clocked in for her shift as a server that God would answer her prayers to help her come up with the extra money Chelsea needed to help cover her son’s college expenses.

I’m sure it weighed heavily on Chelsea’s mind. Every time she cleaned a table or counted her tips, she wondered how she would come up with the cash. Yet, when we least expect it, God shows up and uses tangible ways to reach us in real life.

For Chelsea, it was a woman who left a $4,000 tip. At first, this angel woman left a $1,000 tip for her $179 bill. When Chelsea saw it, she began to cry, and the woman responded with even more generosity.

“I started crying and [and then she said] ‘no that’s not good enough,’ and raised it to $2,000,” Chelsea said.”I didn’t believe it until it went through the credit card machine. I still didn’t believe it until it hit the bank.” When she ultimately saw the final receipt, the tip was, in fact, $4,000.

Now she has just enough to cover her son’s college expenses this fall. Perhaps the biggest blessing is worth more than the money itself. This woman’s kindness and generosity restored Chelsea’s faith in God that he can and will provide for all of our needs.

“She is a gift from God. I believe in guardian angels. I believe in people coming into your life at the right time that you need them. And she was definitely one of them,” Chelsea said.

May this story reinforce your faith in a heavenly father who gives good gifts, and have faith he will provide the best for you too!
