She Spent $70,000 on Cosmetic Procedures — Now She’s Owning Her Beauty Despite the Backlash

At just 14 years old, Orylan got her first tattoo. What began as a small act of self-expression eventually evolved into a dramatic transformation that would make her one of the most recognizable body-modification enthusiasts online. Now 26 and originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, she has covered nearly her entire body with tattoos and undergone a variety of modifications, including tattooed eyeballs, a split tongue, fang-shaped veneers, and even a heart-shaped implant in her hand.

While Orylan embraces her appearance, she understands that not everyone shares her appreciation for it. She frequently encounters criticism from strangers who stare, point, or openly express discomfort when they see her in public. Online, the comments can be even harsher. Critics often tell her she looked better before her modifications or make assumptions about her personal life and upbringing.

Despite the negativity, Orylan remains confident in her choices. She believes beauty is subjective and says her current appearance reflects the person she has always wanted to be. With more than 143,000 followers on Instagram, she has built a community of supporters who appreciate her individuality and willingness to live authentically.

Unlike some people who carefully plan extensive body transformations, Orylan says her decisions are mostly spontaneous. Rather than following a specific vision, she simply evaluates what changes she wants to make next. She has even considered getting additional facial tattoos or tattooing her tongue in the future.

One of her most unusual modifications is her split tongue, which she claims allows her to experience flavor combinations in a unique way. After the procedure healed, she experimented by tasting different drinks at the same time and was surprised by the results.

For anyone considering body modification, Orylan offers simple advice: ignore the negativity and focus on what brings genuine happiness. She believes personal expression should come from a place of self-love and encourages others to pursue whatever makes them feel most comfortable and confident in their own skin.
