Richard Simons passed away at the age of 76…

The famed fitness instructor Richard Simmons has passed away at the age of 76, according to revelations made by TMZ.

This information was provided to TMZ by law enforcement sources. Just before 10 o’clock on Saturday morning, police and fire personnel responded to a call from his housekeeper and declared him deceased at the scene. We have been informed that there is no suspicion of any kind of foul play at this time, and the police are examining it as a natural loss.

Unbelievably, RS has been posting on Facebook on many occasions in recent weeks, including expressing gratitude to his followers for the birthday greetings he has received.

After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in painting, Simmons relocated to Los Angeles in the 1970s. Simmons was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1948. He then attended Florida State University and received his degree.

Simmons began his career in the hospitality industry as a waiter in Beverly Hills. He then developed a chain of gyms for clients who were not already in excellent physical condition.

As a primary tenet of Simmons’ exercise philosophy, which centered on the need of maintaining a nutritious diet, he created The Anatomy Asylum, which came to be known as Slimmons in the future. Initially, the establishment had a salad bar. The Slimmon store closed in 2016.

He created a large number of fitness CDs and DVDs, some of which are well-known, such as “Sweatin’ to the Oldies,” “Party off the Pounds,” “Blast Off,” “Pump and Sweat,” “Tonin Uptown,” and “Tonin Downtown,” amongst many more.

Simmons also made the transition into popular acting, often appearing in programs as himself, as he memorably did in 72 episodes of “General Hospital,” a recurrent character he continued to play for around four years starting in 1979. In 2013, he made a cameo appearance on the program, which marked his comeback to the show.

The television shows “What Women Want,” “Hercules: Zero to Hero,” “All My Children,” “Evening Shade,” and “The Larry Sanders Show” are just some of the other well-known projects that Richard has also worked on. In addition to being a prolific writer, Richard was the author of a number of cookbooks with healthy eating recipes.

Fans drew toward Richard because of his upbeat and flamboyant energy; yet, in his latter life, he moved away from the limelight due to the pressures of maintaining his character in the forefront. This is a subject that we delved into in our documentary titled “TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Richard Simmons.”

For the purpose of conducting a welfare check in 2017, law enforcement officers went to his residence. However, they subsequently published a statement stating that the celebrity was doing well and just wanted to be left alone to go about his business.

Having saying that, Richard never ceased making an effort to assist fans. In May, we were the ones who broke the news… Simmons informed us over the phone that he was responding to hundreds of emails from followers every single day and making fifteen to twenty phone calls to assist those who were having difficulty.

This occurred a few weeks after Richard uploaded an audio message for his admirers, allowing them to hear his voice once again after being off from the public eye for such a significant amount of time. He also said that he had discovered his life’s mission, which was to assist other people.

During our most recent encounter with Richard on the street, which took place in 2014, he provided our audience with a plethora of important advice on how to improve their physical fitness.
