Remembering your childhood from the 60s and 70s with pictures

A nostalgic video from the 1960s and early 1970s has emerged from the internet to bring back memories with classic pictures. All the images are set to the soundtrack of the songs by ‘The 5th Dimension’ singing ‘Up, Up and Away’ and ‘Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In.’ It is a perfect reminder of days gone by.

Pictures include everything you could imagine from the era. There are diners, old cars, rotary phones, old Pepsi bottles, record players, Gilligan’s Island, Bewitched, and even Bugs Bunny.

‘Twister’ was a game by the Milton Bradley Company that hit store shelves during this time. As well, Lionel Trains became a popular toy starting in the 1950s. The company sold 25 million dollars worth of trains per year!

There are pictures of old tin lunch boxes with designs of cars or planes and a can of Amalie Racing Oil, which was the first company to sell multi-grade motor oil.

For toy enthusiasts, few items could top ‘Lincoln Logs.’ They were invented in 1916 by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s son, John. The logs are named after our 16th president, who once lived in a log cabin.

Many kids will remember the most popular bike of the time period, ‘The Schwinn Speedster Bike.’ This lightweight bike series was built in Chicago from 1957 through the mid-70s. Every kid wanted this speedy bicycle to cruise their neighborhood streets.

Watching this video will bring back the memories of toys, TV shows, collectibles, cars, and more from the 60s and 70s. It is a visual time capsule that instantly takes you back in time.
