A Katy, Texas, man, Kevin Dominguez, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison
for assaulting a Border Patrol agent while smuggling migrants. On August 1, 2023,
a canine alert led agents to a person in his trunk, but Dominguez fled, hitting an agent. Authorities later arrested ,
seven more undocumented individuals and linked Jesus David Reyes-Villagran to the operation.
