No one wanted to sing the national anthem, so one high school student took off his helmet and grabbed up a guitar.

One of the few things that actually causes the heart to beat faster is a passionate rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Just ask any Arundel High School student who saw Jackson Dean Nicholson perform as a senior defensive end a couple years ago.

Here, we’re not discussing his on-field performance but rather his performance of the national anthem prior to the match. Over the years, it has astounded innumerable internet users in addition to the locals.

Nicholson was reportedly forced to decide when he discovered that no one else was available to sing the national anthem prior to his school’s game. Of course, he had the option to let the audience sing the song themselves or have the school play a recording over the speakers.

On the other hand, Nicholson seems to be made of a different material. Before the game started, the high school student stood by himself in the center of the field with only an acoustic guitar and a microphone.

It’s hardly surprising that the video of him performing the American national anthem quickly became a viral hit that has repeatedly emerged because he gave one of the best performances of it we’ve ever heard.

The fact that the video, which was first uploaded in 2018, is still astonishing and relevant today shows how good of a singer Nicholson is.

At the time, Nicholson told the Baltimore Sun, “I probably knew 90% of the people in those stands, and they had no idea I was doing it until I pulled out my guitar.

While he was dressed as a senior defensive end for his five minutes of fame, Nicholson’s main love in life is music. He’s been composing and singing songs since he was in high school, and he was working on his own record at the moment he went viral.

Given that Jack Nicholson is already a well-known actor, he carefully chose the stage name Jackson Dean.

Back in 2018, Jackson remarked of his football career, “This is my last year, then I’m done.” I have till January, I’ll have completed all of my credits, and I only need to be enrolled for this semester. My principal granted me a waiver, and she is very supportive of what I do.

“I’m going to go for it.”

Best wishes, Jackson!

We simply cannot get over Jackson’s performance, and we want as many people as possible to see it.
