Nicole Kidman spotted for the first time since filing for divorce from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have dominated the news this week after the news of their divorce. Neither of them has made any public statements yet, and now, days after it was filed, Kidman has been seen in public for the first time.

On Tuesday, September 30, Nicole Kidman filed for divorce from Keith Urban. The filing includes a marriage dissolution, which has been submitted for a judge’s approval.

After 19 years of marriage, Kidman and Urban are calling it quits, but according to sources, it might not have been a joint decision.

Their split is turning dramatic. Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed,” a source told People Magazine. “She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on.”

Another source said, “their lives were moving in different directions, and once [Urban] quietly set up his own place, it felt like the writing was on the wall. It really hasn’t been a secret in their circles that Keith and Nicole have been living separately for a while now. People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable.”

The couple shares two children,  Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, and primarily lives in Nashville. While divorces can be a contentious affair, both Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have decided to focus on what is truly important: their children. Therefore, they have developed a parenting plan that is agreed upon by both parties.

“The mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced,” the permanent parenting plan said.

“They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”

Neither Keith Urban nor Nicole Kidman has spoken out about the divorce, nor have they made any statements through their representatives. But now, Nicole Kidman has been seen in public for the first time since the divorce was filed.

The Daily Mail has obtained pictures of Kidman being spotted on a hike alongside her sister, Antonia. The Moulin Rouge! and Big Little Lies star was wearing a grey baseball cap with a matching zip-up jacket, black leggings, and oversized sunglasses.

As Nicole goes through a very challenging time, a source told People Magazine her sister and family have been vital.

“Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” they said, adding of Nicole,, “She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
