Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s parenting plan “revealed” as ‘cocaine clause’ emerges

The parenting plan Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban will adopt moving forward has been revealed after the former filed for divorce earlier this week.

The bombshell news broke a few days ago that the superstar couple are parting ways after almost 20 years of marriage. The exact reason remains a mystery to the public as yet, though it’s rumored that the writing has been on the wall for some time.

TMZ reported that the couple had been living separately since before the summer, with Kidman looking after their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, and Urban residing in a new house in Nashville.

According to a report by People Magazine, Kidman feels “betrayed” by her husband’s actions.

“Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed,” a source told the magazine. “It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked.”

On Tuesday, reports revealed that Kidman had formally filed for divorce, asking to become the primary residential parent for the pair’s daughters. Urban is said to have agreed to the deal, meaning the girls will spend 306 days a year with their mother, and just 59 with their father.

People Magazine also revealed how the couple have put into writing that they will not speak badly of each other or one another’s family members to the press. They’ve also pledged to “encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families”.

What’s more, Kidman and Urban are both required to attend a parenting seminar within 60 days of divorce proceedings being filed. Urban, it’s said, has already “prepaid all child support obligations.”

One of the more eyebrow-raising points of the court filing relates to the prenup the couple signed prior to their marriage 19 years ago. As per Hello!, a clause found in the prenup outlines how Urban is entitled to $600,000 from Kidman for every year he’s abstained from illicit drugs and alcohol during the course of their marriage.

All told, that means the New Zealander may receive over $11 million.
