It was a warm, quiet afternoon, the kind of day where you take a breath and just appreciate the moment.
I was out in the field, leaning against the truck, feeling the breeze in my hair, and thought it would be fun
to send my husband a quick picture. Just something casual, nothing special.
The truck looked good against the backdrop of trees, and I figured he’d appreciate the scenery.
I snapped the picture, standing beside the truck, and sent it off without much thought.
It was just a moment, a way to share a part of my day.
But when his reply came back almost instantly, it wasn’t what I expected.
“Who’s that in the reflection?”
I blinked, confused. “What reflection?” I texted back, starting to feel a knot form in my stomach.
