Keith Urban’s painful reaction over Nicole Kidman questions goes viral after split

News of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce has rocked Hollywood, but some fans say the signs were there all along.

In the weeks leading up to the split, Urban was spotted sidestepping uncomfortable questions about his marriage — and now people online are pointing to those moments as early clues that trouble was brewing.

Keith Urban’s body language

The divorce between Nicole Kidman, 58, and Keith Urban, 57, is reportedly far from amicable. Sources say that Kidman tried to hold the family together despite growing tensions, but the marriage ultimately ended in separation.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that several close to the couple believe Urban may already be seeing someone new. Though insiders say Kidman isn’t opposing it, she is reportedly stunned by the revelation.

As you can imagine, rumors and conflicting reports are swirling around this Hollywood drama, and fans aren’t holding back, eagerly piecing together every clue in the highly publicized split.

The country star repeatedly tried to dodge questions about his Oscar-winning wife, leaving many convinced the tension was a sign of trouble behind the scenes.

One particularly uncomfortable moment came during a Sept. 2 appearance on Australia’s Gold 101.7 Jonesy & Amanda radio show. Host Amanda Keller asked Urban about his “amazing love story” with Kidman and whether their fateful first meeting on a Los Angeles radio show was destiny.

“If you hadn’t both been there that day, would your paths somewhere have inevitably crossed? Or maybe this incredible life story wouldn’t have happened,” Keller asked.

Cut her off quickly

Urban, looking uneasy, cut her off quickly: “No, I think it would,” he replied, shifting focus to opening a water bottle. When pressed further about whether “fate” played a role, he shot back, “No idea.”

Keller didn’t let up, but Urban made it clear he was done: “You never know. Anyway, moving on.”

The radio station later re-shared the clip on Instagram with a caption that only fueled speculation: “Prior to this, Keith Urban loved chatting about Nicole Kidman with us! He encouraged it, actually. We wish both Nicole and Keith all the best ❤️.”

And that wasn’t the only time Urban seemed off when Kidman’s name came up. Back in July, during an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the singer laughed awkwardly as Seacrest teased him about his wife’s busy schedule.

“Do people tell you your wife is in everything? Like everything. Nicole Kidman is in everything,” Seacrest said. Urban gave a tight smile and replied that she’s “almost as busy” as Seacrest himself.

Seacrest pushed on: “Is that something with your life, her life and mapping it all out with production and touring — that’s a job, isn’t it?”

19 years of marriage

Urban’s response was short and flat: “It’s a job. Yeah. Life is in session.” He then fell silent as Seacrest gushed about how the couple seemed to take “great pride” in balancing their marriage and careers.

The resurfaced clips dropped just as Page Six confirmed Kidman filed for divorce this week after 19 years of marriage. The actress cited “irreconcilable differences” and submitted a parenting plan for the couple’s daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. She listed the date of separation as Sept. 30 — the same day she filed — though insiders say they’d been living apart since June.

“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” one source told Page Six, noting Kidman had “tried to save things” and “did not want the separation.”

But while Kidman was trying to hold on, sources told TMZ that Urban has already moved on.

“All the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman,” insiders claimed. “Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”

Kidman, 58, has since been spotted in Nashville leaning on her sister, Antonia, for support. The two were photographed hiking together just a day after the divorce bombshell.
