JUST IN: Rogue Anti-Trump Judge Hit With Articles Of Impeachment

A Republican lawmaker from the House has formally initiated impeachment proceedings against Chief Judge James E. Boasberg of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. The accusation centers on claims that Boasberg misused his judicial authority to impede President Trump’s deportation initiatives.

Congressman Brandon Gill (R-TX) presented the resolution on Tuesday, asserting that Boasberg’s actions constituted a direct violation of the Constitution, hindering the president’s ability to enforce immigration laws. In a statement shared on social media, Gill remarked, “By obstructing President Trump’s legitimate efforts to deport violent illegal alien gangsters, Judge Boasberg has instigated a constitutional crisis. He is unqualified to hold a judicial position.”

The resolution, which has been introduced in the House of Representatives, formally charges Boasberg with high crimes and misdemeanors, specifically alleging abuse of power by interfering with the executive branch’s jurisdiction to enforce federal laws, including the Alien Enemies Act.

The resolution articulates: “Chief Judge Boasberg, in breach of his oath of office, knowingly and willfully utilized his judicial role to pursue political advantage while obstructing the President’s constitutional rights and the enforcement of the rule of law.”

The impeachment article contends that, according to the Alien Enemies Act, the president possesses exclusive and unreviewable authority to ascertain whether an invasion has occurred and to respond accordingly. It references the Supreme Court case Ludecke v. Watkins (1948), which upheld that such executive decisions are beyond the scope of judicial review.

Notwithstanding this legal precedent, Boasberg issued a ruling to suspend deportation flights aimed at illegal aliens with established connections to the infamous Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which is recognized as a foreign terrorist organization. The resolution claims that Boasberg “overstepped the boundaries of the Executive and unilaterally assumed the powers and responsibilities of the President.”

The initiative to impeach Boasberg arises from increasing discontent among conservatives, who contend that judicial overreach has hindered President Trump’s attempts to secure the border and safeguard national security. Early Tuesday morning, President Trump expressed his disapproval of Boasberg’s ruling on his social media platform.

“This Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, wasn’t elected—HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, and fighting illegal immigration may have been the NUMBER ONE REASON. This judge, like many Crooked Judges, should be IMPEACHED! WE DON’T WANT VICIOUS, VIOLENT CRIMINALS IN OUR COUNTRY. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

The resolution outlines Boasberg’s purported misconduct, which includes instructing that flights carrying deported illegal aliens be redirected midair, thereby further jeopardizing national security. In an uncommon public statement, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. commented on the impeachment initiative, warning against the use of impeachment as a political weapon.

“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose,” Roberts stated.

Gill and other House Republicans assert that judicial accountability is essential for maintaining the separation of powers. The resolution claims that Boasberg’s actions “compromise the impartiality of our judicial system and create a constitutional crisis.”

“For the past several weeks, we’ve seen several rogue activist judges attempt to obstruct the president from exercising not only the mandate given to him by voters but also his democratic and constitutional authority to ensure the safety of the American people,” Rep. Gill told Fox News on Tuesday. “This is yet another instance of a rogue judge exceeding his…authority.”

“I’ll be discussing this with [Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio],” Gill added. “I believe the most effective approach is to proceed through the judicial process.”
