Joe Biden takes brutal swipe at Trump over Reflecting Pool repairs after he threatened vandals with 10 years in prison

It’s not really a secret that former President Joe Biden and current President Donald Trump aren’t particularly fond of each other. In the past, Trump slammed Biden for his age and health and accused him of keeping his cancer diagnosis a secret while serving in the White House.

Trump referred to Biden as to “Sleepy Joe” and “Crooked Joe Biden” during numerous occasions and even hung a picture of the so-called autopen at the White House. Namely, Trump made a shocking decision in the past to launch an investigation concerning former POTUS Joe Biden regarding masking his “cognitive decline” and deceiving the public about his actual mental state. He claimed Biden did that by letting his aides use an autopen—a device that reproduces signatures used by presidents, including Trump, for decades—to authorize executive actions.

As of Biden, he’s been living a life out of the spotlight following his days in the White House, with the exception of few public appearances, including one this Saturday at a Democratic Party gala when he broke his silence on Trump.

He labeled the former real estate tycoon a ‘loser’ while criticizing his successor’s plans to remodel Washington, D.C. landmarks.

Speaking of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, Biden accused Trump of corruption “on a scale never seen before in American history.”

As reported by Forbes, Biden said that Trump had gone as far as “hiring his own pool guy to fix the reflecting pool,” before adding: “Whoa, what a loser.”

The huge makeover of the Reflecting Pool reportedly cost over $14 million. They drained and resurfaced the National Mall landmark, even painting the bottom ‘American flag blue.’ But things went downhill fast after it wrapped up. In less than a month, the paint started peeling and algae turned the water green.

Trump later reported that the site had been deliberately damaged by vandals, claiming chemicals had been poured into the water.

He also posted on Truth Social, warning that anyone who vandalized the pool or other public landmarks could get up to ten years in prison, promising that the punishment would be ‘fully enforced.’ However, he didn’t offer any proof of vandalism at the time.

Further, the president claimed someone had sliced a “350-foot slit” in the pool’s lining with what he described as “a box cutter or some kind of knife,” although he previously said it was only 250 feet.
