Matthew Perry’s recent passing has left a void in the entertainment world, with global mourning and his close friends deeply affected. The 54-year-old actor, renowned for his role as Chandler Bing in “Friends,” passed away on October 28, and the cause of death is under investigation.
Perry was candid about his battles with addiction and alcoholism but had been working towards a healthier life. He aspired to be remembered for helping others combat addiction, not just his acting.
His Friends castmates attended his private funeral at Forest Memorial Park in LA. Their joint statement expressed their devastation and emphasized their bond, stating, “We are more than just cast mates. We are a family.”
The emotional ceremony concluded with Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush’s rendition of “Don’t Give Up.” Jennifer Aniston, one of Perry’s closest friends, is reportedly deeply affected by his loss, facing the grief of losing two dear ones within a year.
