Jeff Golblum ‘busted’ after cameras caught him looking at phone

The Oscars took place this weekend at the Dolby Theatre in Las Vegas. Hollywood’s best and brightest showed up dressed to the nines, all set to impress their peers and millions of keen eyes across the globe.

One of the attendees who is often a treat to listen to during his interviews, was Jeff Goldblum. The Jurassic Park actor was in attendance due to playing the Wizard in 2024’s blockbuster musical hit Wicked. The movie was nominated for 10 awards, of which it took home two for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design.

Goldblum has said on a previous occasion that he feels lucky that he can still go to the Oscars, 29 years after he had his first and only win for his live action short film, Little Surprises in 1996.

He also shared how, “It always feels like the first time for me, and to see it through Emilie’s golden eyes makes everything more.”

But this year, before the show even began, Goldblum was caught red-handed doing something rather sneaky. A camera behind him, caught him and his wife, Emilie Livingston unaware before the show began.

While most attendees use the opportunity before the show begins to mingle and make connections, Goldblum and his wife had other ideas. The 72-year-old actor was seen scrolling his phone, and as the camera zoomed in, it was seen that the actor was looking at pictures of himself from his red carpet appearance just moments before.

He was checking out an Instagram post which was showing off his outfit. The couple was looking at the picture before the show began, presumably admiring Goldblum’s angles.

And Goldblum was surprised when Entertainment Tonight told him about how they had caught him admiring his own pictures before the show began.

The reported told Goldblum, “They caught you tonight,” to which the Wicked star replied, “Oh gosh look at that, let me see.”

After he saw what the interviewer was talking about, the actor immediately came clean, “I’m busted, that’s it.”
