If You See a Coin Stuck In Your Car Door Handle

If You See a Coin Stuck In Your Car Door Handle …You’d Better Call The Police

Have you ever been walking toward your car, only to find a penny

stuck in the door handle? It’s a strange and unsettling feeling.

Turns out, this is actually a trick used by thieves to break into cars.

Car thieves often place small coins in the door handles, usually

on the passenger side. This is especially sneaky if you’re driving alone, you might not even notice the coin.

Here’s the danger: when you try to use your key for the central locking system,

it won’t work. Why? That innocent-looking penny has gotten stuck in

the passenger door, preventing you from properly locking or unlocking your car.

What’s even scarier is that these thieves aren’t just opportunistic strangers;

they have a more sinister plan. The thief might be lurking nearby!

Once you unlock your car and drive off, the thief could follow you.

When you park and try to lock your car again, the lock won’t engage because the coin is jammed in the handle.

This gives the thief easy access to your car, allowing them to steal anything inside without you noticing.

How to Protect Yourself

The best way to prevent this is to always check the passenger side

door handle before driving. If you find a coin, remove it immediately.

It’s also a good idea to contact the police if you suspect foul play.
