Her husband leaves her for her best friend and with debts, she wins the jackpot in the lottery

Revenge is a dish best served cold. This proverb perfectly illustrates the story of this Colombian woman. The reason? She won the national lottery jackpot twice after her husband left her for her best friend.

It all started a year ago when the woman – who prefers to remain anonymous – discovered that her husband was having an affair with her best friend. He decided to leave her to pursue their relationship openly.

The problem? The unfaithful husband didn’t care about the mortgage on their family home. Faced with this situation, the Colombian woman – who works as a seamstress – spent all her savings to repay the loan.

During this period, the mother was unable to make the final installment payment for her daughter’s tuition fees. The couple’s house was on the verge of being auctioned off when a miracle occurred.

Karma works its magic.

On January 17th of last year, the woman purchased a lottery ticket, exactly one year after being abandoned by her ex-husband. And it’s safe to say that karma was on her side.

Indeed, her numbers matched the winning numbers in two different draws, allowing her to pocket a sum of 360 000 USD. As reported by The Sun tabloid, this is one of the largest prizes ever won in the Colombian lottery.

Not surprisingly, the lucky winner revealed that her former partner was the first person to contact her upon learning the news. According to her, he simply offered his congratulations.
