Gene Hackman and wife’s last public photos revealed

Earlier this week, Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead at their Santa Fe residence, shocking those who loved the actor.

Tributes have poured in from around the world. Hackman, who distanced himself from the spotlight in recent years, made a rare public appearance a year before his death. At 95, he passed away alongside his 63-year-old wife. Their dog also died at their home on February 26, 2025.

Santa Fe County confirmed their deaths but stated no foul play was suspected. Hackman’s career spanned from 1961 to 2004, during which he starred in 79 films, winning numerous prestigious awards. He retired due to health issues, including heart problems, in 2004.

Hackman and Arakawa married in 1991, and they were seen together in Albuquerque in 2024. Hackman’s legacy as a remarkable actor was honored by director Francis Ford Coppola.
