From Crocodile Dundee to a New Adventure in Morocco

When people think of 1980s Hollywood, names like Tom Cruise and Molly Ringwald often come to mind—along with Linda Kozlowski, best known for her role as Sue Charlton in Crocodile Dundee. Her journey from small-town beginnings to international fame is both varied and compelling.

Born on January 7, 1958, in Fairfield, Connecticut, Kozlowski grew up in a Polish-American household. From an early age, she showed a strong interest in the arts and pursued formal training at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. The rigorous education sharpened her skills and prepared her for a competitive industry.

Her breakthrough came in 1986 with Crocodile Dundee. The film became a global hit, grossing over $300 million worldwide and turning Kozlowski into an international star. Her on-screen chemistry with co-star Paul Hogan resonated with audiences.

That chemistry extended into real life. Kozlowski and Hogan married in 1990 and later welcomed a son, Chance. Their partnership added authenticity to the beloved film franchise.

She reprised her role in Crocodile Dundee II (1988) and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (2001). Though closely associated with the franchise, Kozlowski also took on other film and television roles, demonstrating her range as an actress.

In the early 2000s, dissatisfied with the roles being offered, she chose to step away from acting. It was a bold decision that reflected her desire for meaningful work rather than continued fame.

After separating from Hogan in 2014, Kozlowski embraced a new chapter. She co-founded Dream My Destiny, a natural skincare company, channeling her entrepreneurial spirit into business ventures.

Today, she lives a quieter life, often spending time in Morocco. From Hollywood stardom to business leadership, Linda Kozlowski’s story reflects resilience, adaptability, and the courage to reinvent oneself.
