Former beauty queen could replace Karoline Leavitt

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has announced that she is expecting her second child and will step away from her role for maternity leave.

Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, announced that she is expecting a baby girl in May. And, of course, after the birth, she will step away from her role to go on maternity leave. There is now a lot of speculation about who will take on her role as she steps away for maternity leave.

According to The Mirror, one of the names under consideration is Anna Kelly, who currently serves as an Assistant Press Secretary in the Trump administration and is also a former beauty queen.

Kelly has worked for several Republican campaigns in her past, as well as in communications for lawmakers and state party groups. She is a strong candidate for the role.

The Fairfax, Virginia, native graduated from Auburn University in 2017. She majored in political science and was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She then did a Master’s in Political Management from George Washington University.

In 2019, she won the Miss State Fair of Virginia title. Her title shows she has experience with public speaking and being in the limelight, qualities the role of White House Press Secretary will require.

However, Anna Kelly is not the only candidate rumored to be up for consideration for the role. Other rumored candidates include Taylor Rogers, Liz Huston, and Kush Desai. All of them have the necessary background to take on the role.

While there have been no official updates on who will be covering during Karoline Leavitt’s maternity leave, rumors are rampant about who will take the role for the duration of Leavitt’s leave.
