‘Euphoria’ Star Hunter Schafer, 26, Reveals Her New Passport Lists Her as Male – Details

Hunter Schafer, star of HBO’s Euphoria, was shocked to find her newly issued U.S. passport incorrectly listed her as male, despite selecting female on her application.

After her bag was stolen in Barcelona, she received an emergency passport with the correct marker, but her new standard passport reflected the male designation.

Schafer attributed the issue to a policy enacted under President Trump, requiring passports to reflect the biological sex assigned at birth. This change eliminates the X marker option and delays applications requesting gender changes.Concerned about travel issues, Schafer criticized the policy, saying, “I just didn’t think it was actually going to happen.”
