Donald Trump’s second wife Marla Maples chose a rural life after divorce – here’s her today

Marla Maples became widely known during the 1990s through her high-profile marriage to Donald Trump. Their relationship unfolded under intense media scrutiny, and after their divorce, she stepped back from public attention to focus on raising their daughter, Tiffany Trump.

Born on October 27, 1963, in Cohutta, Georgia, Maples grew up in a close-knit community she has described as “storybook-perfect.” In high school, she was active in sports and was elected homecoming queen.

She later attended the University of Georgia to study marketing but left before graduating to pursue opportunities in New York City, a move that changed her life’s direction.

Maples met Donald Trump in the mid-1980s while he was still married to Ivana Trump. Their relationship gradually became public, attracting widespread media attention and controversy.

As rumors intensified, the situation became painful for those involved. After Trump’s first marriage ended, his relationship with Maples became official.

In December 1993, Maples and Trump married in a lavish ceremony at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. That same year, they welcomed their daughter, Tiffany.

Before marrying, Maples signed a prenuptial agreement outlining financial terms in the event of divorce. Reports indicated it included structured settlements and provisions for child support.

The couple divorced in 1999. Since then, Maples has largely maintained a lower profile, focusing on motherhood and personal pursuits away from the intense spotlight that once defined her public life.
