Donald Trump is more popular than ever, according to shock poll, as he prepares for address to Congress

According to a recent DailyMail.com poll, President Donald Trump is gaining new supporters as a result

of his swift spending cuts, deportations, and foreign policy flexes.

Trump’s approval rating has increased by one point over the last two weeks,

according to our Trump tracking poll, which was released today in collaboration with J.L. Partners.

For a president who has polarized the country, it now stands at 54 percent, a historic high.

Of those who voiced an opinion, about 46% said they didn’t like his performance.

Younger voters are largely responsible for the increase in approval; 56 percent of voters aged 18 to 29 now say they approve, up from 51 percent two weeks ago.

It demonstrates that more voters support Trump’s tumultuous assault on the federal government than oppose it. Thus far.

Additionally, the fieldwork was done right before Trump’s historic confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, which may alter the president’s perception among voters.

More than one in three Americans (36 percent) responded that they now had a more favorable opinion of the president when asked if they had a more or less favorable opinion of him.

Merely 16% expressed more negativity.

A New York Democrat who voted for Kamala Harris also stated that he did so “because he has focused on taking out corruption in the government.”

Trump became president on January 20.

Additionally, he has slashed through government, closing USAID and firing thousands of employees with Elon Musk at his side.

He has continued to issue executive orders and engage in international diplomacy in the interim.

He will have to give a speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, one of Washington’s most important set pieces.

It is anticipated that he will outline his goals for the upcoming year and take a victory lap of his accomplishments.

According to the DailyMail.com tracker, he is on a stronger foundation than some other polls, which suggested that voters were paused by his firing spree and concerns about inflation.

According to James Johnson, cofounder of J.L. Partners, “some pollsters have found Trump’s ratings slipping.”

Essentially, energized Democrats who were not responding to polls a month ago are now doing so, which we believe is a reflection of non-response bias rather than reality.

“We are certain that this is the true picture: Trump’s approval rating is holding firm rather than declining,” the statement reads. “Our polling was the most accurate in 2024.”

Every month, the tracker will release the most recent ratings.

A survey of 1,001 registered voters conducted between February 24 and 25 served as the basis for the first installment.

Those who answered ‘don’t know’ were eliminated in order to arrive at the final figures. According to the data, 45 percent of respondents approve of them, while 39 percent disagree.

The study discovered that while the president’s approval rating among Democrats increased from 20 to 22 percent and among younger voters (from 51 to 56 percent with 18 to 29-year-olds), it decreased slightly among Republicans (from 92 to 89 percent).

One respondent after another claimed to be fulfilling his commitments.

According to a Pennsylvania woman who voted for Harris, “he has done more so far this time than in his first four years.”

According to a California Trump supporter, “He is less toxic and more focused.”
