Dolly Parton Opts Out of Tours to Prioritize Quality Time with Husband

Dolly Parton, the famous 77-year-old country music star, has decided to stop going on big tours. In a recent interview, she mentioned that she’ll only do occasional performances at festivals or weekends of shows, but no more full tours.

Dolly, who’s been a global entertainment icon, plans to focus on writing music and spending more time with her husband, Carl Thomas Dean. The couple met in 1964 and got married in 1966. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and decided to reaffirm their vows.

Dolly explained that touring takes a lot of time, and she’d rather be at home with her husband, especially as they both get older. She shared some past health struggles, including collapsing on stage in 1982 due to endometriosis, a condition affecting the lining of the womb.

Now, instead of touring, Dolly is working on new music, including rock n’ roll for her husband, who loves that genre. She’s also involved in a new NBC special, “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic holiday,” and a movie with Reese Witherspoon called “Run, Rose, Run.”

Despite her legendary status, Dolly wants to take it easy and enjoy her life. She’s grateful for the support and wants to cherish her time with loved ones.
