Clint Eastwood mourns the death of longtime mistress – pair had secret 14-year affair

Clint Eastwood is said to be mourning the tragic passing of his longtime mistress, Roxanne Turin, who died in late June.

Tunis, who had once been a lover of Eastwood for almost 20 years, died at the age of 93 on June 23.

“My mom passed after a brief illness,” Tunis’ daughter Kimber, 59 – whom she shared with Eastwood – said in a statement to RadarOnline on Monday, August 7.

Kimber also revealed that her 93-year-old Academy Award winner father was deeply saddened by the news and that he’d extended his condolences to her and their grandson. “He is just as sad as I am,” she said.

An insider revealed that Tunis had been one of Eastwood’s great loves, and that their bond remained strong “until the end.”

The loss has apparently deeply affected the ‘Unforgiven’ star, leaving him devastated for both the loss and for his daughter Kimber.

The relationship between Eastwood and Tunis began in 1964, while the Western actor was married to his first wife Maggie Johnson. The marriage to Johnson ended in 1984 after 34 years, during which they had two children – Kyle and Allison.

Eastwood and Tunis had initially met in 1959 while working on the TV show ‘Rawhide’, and their relationship did overlap Eastwood’s marriage to Johnson, according to RadarOnline.

Sources reported that Eastwood and Tunis’ romance continued for 14 years, during which she also had a role in his 1978 action comedy ‘Every Which Way But Loose’.

A scandal arose in 1964 when Clint’s full name, Clinton Eastwood Jr., was revealed on Kimber’s birth certificate.

According to RadarOnline, a source shared that “Roxanne worshipped the ground [Clint] walked on” and was not too fussed about his fame and wealth.

Tunis, interested in acting and dancing from a young age, pursued her dreams in Los Angeles in her late 20s, according to the Daily Mail. She was also interested in meditation, veganism, and leading a healthy lifestyle.

Kimber spoke about her mother’s diverse interests, which included painting, drawing, writing, and traveling. Tunis was remembered as a devoted family member, friend, and a deeply religious individual.

Tunis’ acting career included appearances in films like 1963’s ‘Take Her’, ‘She’s Mine’, 1986’s ‘Blue City’, 1973’s ‘Breezy’ (directed by Eastwood), and 1968’s ‘Hang ‘Em High’, which also featured Eastwood.
