Catherine Zeta-Jones’ daughter is growing up fast, and she looks just like her famous mom

It can’t be an easy thing, growing up in the searing spotlight that comes with both of your parents being famous Hollywood stars.

Sure, you’ll likely never want for anything, and there are far worse environments to be born into, but for Dylan Michael and Carys Zeta Douglas, the children of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, life has been pretty interesting to say the least.

The media has watched on with interest as Dylan and Carys have grown, with many wondering whether or not they would follow their illustrious parents into stardom.

Now, in the case of Carys at least, it appears we have an answer …

Zeta-Jones herself has been open with her admissions that both of her children would follow her onto the big screen, or at least attempt to.

The 49-year-old told Hello! Magazine in an interview: “When they’re on stage, you want to look at them. And they’re interested in the craft. My son wants to do a Bachelor of Arts in theatre. My daughter wanted to be a paediatrician until she was five, when she decided acting was better.”

With both children aiming to follow in their parents’ footsteps, there are plenty of people interested in watching their developments. Those looking for proof need look no further than the recent buzz surrounding Carys, who’s been turning plenty of heads for the simple fact of looking more and more like her mom with each passing day.

The teen made her debut at New York Fashion Week last year in an appearance that generated a tremendous amount of hype.

She’s flown under the radar since then – which is perfectly acceptable since she’s only 15-years-old – but the radio-silence was ended this week after she accompanied her mother to another fashion event.

Carys and Catherine stole the show at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda women’s couture event, held at the New York Metropolitan Opera House. Arriving in matching outfits, mother and daughter posed for a number of pictures that pay testament to their likeness.

Carys is certainly developing into a beautiful woman just like her mother. Not only that, but by all accounts she has a kind personality to match!
