Carrie Underwood says her 7-year-old son Isaiah is realizing that mom’s job is “not normal”

Carrie Underwood, the American Idol winner turned global sensation, is realizing that her 7-year-old son, Isaiah, is grasping the uniqueness of her fame. The singer, who is now married to former hockey pro Mike Fisher and is a mother of two, just kicked off her Denim & Rhinestones tour. In an interview on Today, she shared how her growing children are starting to understand her unconventional career.

Isaiah, aged 7½, is beginning to realize that his mom’s job isn’t ordinary. Kids at school mention seeing her on TV, making him aware that his mother is a public figure. Carrie’s other son, Jacob, also shares in this realization as they navigate the world of celebrity parents.
