A year ago, ViralHog, a YouTube channel, shared a touching video on their social media account. It showed a young man attempting to rescue a poor dog stranded in an icy lake. This video grabbed a lot of attention from internet users and quickly became popular.

The video was shot at the frozen Kalmius Lake in Donetsk, Ukraine, where winter temperatures dropped below freezing.

The video starts with a half-naked man making his way through bushes toward the frozen lake. People are standing around the lake, but it’s unclear what’s happening at first. As the man gets closer, we hear the dog’s painful cries.

It turns out that there was a four-legged friend trapped in the icy water. He might have fallen into the lake while having fun on the freezing surface.

Luckily, there are several branches of trees nearby, so the poor dog is able to hold onto them while waiting for someone to come and help him. No one had any idea how long he’d been there, but there was no doubt that it had been incredibly cold. If no one had stepped in, his life would have been at risk.

But the hero appears, and without a moment’s thought, he walks into the lake and breaks the frozen ice to reach the dog. This surely was not an easy rescue; however, he did it!

With great effort, he swims back to the shore, carrying the dog. The spectators applaud as the man brings the shivering dog to safety.

In the comments section, many people praised this act of bravery. One person said that the dog was crying and freezing, thanking the man for saving its life. Some called him a hero and inquired about the well-being of both the dog and its rescuer. Besides, some sadly expressed that, among the many people there, only one dared to act.

However, it was fortunate that the little dog was rescued, and we can’t help but admire the man who bravely jumped into the icy water to save the dog. Hats off to him
