Bill Clinton directly speaks on controversial hot tub photo with unknown female during Epstein files deposition

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton addressed questions about a controversial image in the Justice Department’s release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein during a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee on February 27.

Lawmakers asked about a “hot tub photo” and other images showing Clinton with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Clinton denied any wrongdoing and said he did not recognize the unidentified woman in the image.

“I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong,” he stated, emphasizing that he had no awareness of Epstein’s criminal conduct during their association. By the time of Epstein’s 2008 guilty plea, Clinton said he had already ended contact with him.

Clinton also defended his wife, Hillary Clinton, who testified the day before, asserting she had no involvement in Epstein’s activities. He criticized the decision to subpoena her as unnecessary.

During the six-hour session, Clinton acknowledged that some answers may seem limited due to the passage of time, explaining he would not speculate on events from decades earlier.

Other released images show him at social gatherings and trips where Epstein was present. Clinton stressed that inclusion in the files does not indicate misconduct.

The deposition comes amid renewed public scrutiny following the release of millions of pages of documents. Clinton maintained that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

He reiterated that, had he known of any illegal activity, he would never have associated with Epstein, highlighting his stance that the record should reflect his lack of involvement and awareness of wrongdoing.
