At least one person has died after a plane crash at Marana Regional Airport, Arizona. Marana Police and emergency services are at the scene. The FAA and NTSB will investigate, but the cause remains unknown.
A local outlet reports two planes were involved, but this is unconfirmed. Marana Police stated: “There has been at least one confirmed deceased individual. Details are limited.” Marana Airport lacks an air traffic control tower.
This is the fourth major aviation incident in North America in a month, following deadly crashes in Washington, Philadelphia, and Alaska. Aviation safety concerns havegrown after President Trump fired hundreds of air traffic controllers following the Washington DC crash. Metro has contacted Marana Police for more details.
