At 48, Bradley Cooper still lives with his mom and has no shame at all

Most of the time, people judge those who still live with their parents when they’re over 18.
But in these moments, people fail to consider that there’s a deeper reason why some of us choose to stay.

Bradley Cooper, one of the most recognizable and iconic stars today, is known to still live with his mother.

And even when celebrating success all around, he doesn’t think of moving out and away from his former life.

Cooper has always been close to his parents.
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor’s first exposure to the media was because of his mother, Gloria Campano.

She was an NBC affiliate for the local news back then.

Cooper followed in his mother’s footsteps and worked at the Philadelphia Daily News.

Then, in 2009, he got his breakout role with Todd Phillip’s comedy The Hangover.

Just two years after the movie, he decided to put everything on hold.
Cooper took a break from acting when his family learned about his father’s condition.

Charles Cooper was diagnosed with lung cancer and was deteriorating quickly.

After a hard-fought battle, Charles passed away just five months after Cooper moved back in with them.

Cooper did everything in his power in those five months to help his father.

His father’s death took a toll on their family.
He described the circumstances as “brutal” for his entire family.

He added that the “aftershock” of his passing had not stopped.

Knowing that his mother needed a lot of support, he then asked her to move into his home in Los Angeles.
The events made them realize how important it is to spend time with family as much as possible.

“But don’t get me wrong. It’s not without complications. It’s not like I live in a compound, and she’s in the guesthouse. No. She’s in the next room,” the actor said in an interview.

However, he added that her mom could “roll with the punches.”And because Cooper wants Campano close by, she is his constant plus-one to the most important events he attends.

Back in 2014, she partied with the stars at the Golden Globes.

Julia Roberts even closed the Oscars by saying goodnight to Campano specifically.

Campano became a beloved icon.
In one event, she swiped at his son and his acting skills.

The mother-son duo worked alongside each other in T-Mobile’s Super Bowl Commercial.

In one scene, Campano is sharing acting instructions with her son.

Cooper cheekily replies that he thinks he knows what he’s doing as he’s nominated for awards nine times.

Campano’s reply? “You haven’t won any.”

Cooper and Campano’s relationship is a lesson about what family means.
Independence and convenience are great things to have, but sometimes, you reach the age where you realize time is all you have.

And with the remaining time, it is best to spend them with people we love and those who love us back.
