Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong has stirred headlines by announcing
his intent to renounce U.S. citizenship after the Supreme Court overturned Roe
v. Wade. During a concert at London Stadium, Armstrong, frontman since 1987,
expressed frustration with U.S. politics, hinting at plans to spend more time
in Europe. “I’m not kidding,” he told fans, promising they’d be seeing more of him soon.
Similarly, pop star Olivia Rodrigo voiced her discontent, dedicating
a song to the justices who voted to overturn the ruling,
calling out conservative figures during her Glastonbury performance.
