“I like to dress up for Carl,” Parton admits during a 2022 interview. “Every day, I put on some makeup and fix my hair because I think, ‘Well, the whole world, I’m out here, and everybody else sees me all dressed up.’ I’m not just gonna go home and flop on him.”

Parton and Dean have been married for almost 60 years and have witnessed just about every aspect of one another. According to the singer, she works as hard on her beauty for her benefit as her husband. She says, “He would love me either way, but I must look the best I can.”
