Later, Bertinelli clarified that “hidden bruises are something that emotional, verbal, and mental abuse does to you that people can’t see.” She expressed her progress in healing and how it made her laugh now. “I put these jeans in storage for good,” she said. “To me, that sound represents freedom.”
