The World’s Richest Actor Has $3 Billion — And Most People Have Never Heard of Her

If someone asked you to name the richest actor in the world, most people would think of major Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, or Meryl Streep.

But the answer is more surprising than expected.

The richest actor is reportedly worth around $3 billion, placing her above Oprah, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna. Yet she remains relatively unknown to the general public.

That actor is Jami Gertz.

She appeared in films such as The Lost BoysSixteen Candles, and Twister, but her acting career is not the main source of her wealth. Most of it comes from business and investments connected to her husband, billionaire investor Tony Ressler.

Ressler co-founded major private equity firms and has significant financial interests, including ownership stakes in professional sports teams like the Atlanta Hawks.

However, Gertz has emphasized in interviews that she was financially successful on her own before her marriage and contributed to their early life together.

Beyond wealth, the couple is known for philanthropy, donating millions to education, healthcare, arts programs, and medical research initiatives.

What makes her story stand out is the contrast between extreme wealth and low public visibility. Despite being the richest actor, she is not a constant presence in entertainment headlines.

Her case shows how modern celebrity wealth can come from far outside traditional Hollywood success.
