Arya Permana’s Remarkable Journey Toward Better Health

Arya Permana’s transformation has become one of the most widely shared health journeys from Indonesia. As a child, he weighed around 200 kilograms at just 11 years old, a condition that made even basic movement difficult. Daily life was heavily restricted—simple activities like walking, attending school, or playing outside were often out of reach, leaving him largely confined indoors.

Medical evaluations found no rare underlying disorder responsible for his condition. Instead, his weight gain was primarily linked to long-term eating habits and a lack of physical activity. As time passed, the situation became more serious, raising concerns about his overall health and future well-being. The need for change became urgent, not just for comfort, but for his safety and quality of life.

With guidance from healthcare professionals and strong support from his family, Arya began a carefully structured path toward recovery. His routine included controlled nutrition, gradual physical activity suited to his abilities, and consistent monitoring. As his weight began to decrease, he also underwent surgery to remove excess skin—an important step that helped improve both mobility and physical comfort as his body adjusted.

By his early teens, Arya had lost more than half of his original weight and regained a level of independence that once seemed impossible. He was able to move more freely, participate in daily activities, and experience a more active lifestyle. His journey stands as a powerful example of how sustained effort, proper guidance, and support can lead to meaningful, lasting change.
