How To Get Rid Of Ants, Fleas, And Other Bugs In Your House

1. Water Jar Trap For Roaches

Roaches can’t live without water, so a simple way to catch them is to use a water jar trap. Just fill a jar with water and put it where you see roaches often. The roaches will get into the jar but won’t be able to get out.

2. Make Your Home Unfriendly To Roaches

There are some things you can do to make your home less attractive to roaches. Roaches like dark, moist places, so make sure you ventilate your house well and fix any water leaks. Remove any clutter or trash that could be a hiding place for roaches.

3. Peppermint And Listerine Spray For Roaches

Another thing you can do to get rid of roaches is to use a peppermint and Listerine spray. Roaches hate strong smells, so this spray will repel them. Mix Listerine and a few drops of peppermint essential oil in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture along the edges of your walls, under your furniture, under your sink, and anywhere else you have seen roaches before.

4. Cinnamon For Ants

Ants also don’t like strong smells, especially cinnamon. You can use either powdered cinnamon or cinnamon essential oil to make cotton balls that will keep ants away. Place the cotton balls along your window frames, near your doors, and anywhere else you think ants are coming from.

5. Caulk The Cracks

Ants can enter your home through any small gaps or openings that connect to the outside. Check your house for any cracks or holes that could be an entry point for ants. Use caulk to seal them up.

6. Salt For Fleas

Fleas love to hide in your carpets. You can kill them by using salt. Sprinkle salt all over your carpets. Wait for a day or two, then vacuum up the salt. The salt will dry out the fleas and kill them.

7. Wash Everything

To get rid of fleas for good, you need to wash everything that is made of fabric in your house. This includes furniture, bedding, curtains, rugs, and anything else that could harbor fleas or their eggs. Wash everything thoroughly to eliminate any traces of fleas.
