When Michael returned home early from a business trip, he expected a joyful reunion but found the house empty and silent. After searching, he heard his wife Emma’s faint cries from the cellar. Locked inside, she revealed a shocking story she had been trapped there for hours.
Emma explained that Michael’s mother had come over with the kids and suggested playing hide-and-seek. When Emma hid in the cellar, the door locked behind her. She believed Michael’s mother was punishing her for refusing to let the kids visit.
Rushing to his mother’s house to find the children, Michael confronted her, but she denied locking Emma in. Then, to everyone’s surprise, their daughter Sophie confessed she had locked Emma in the cellar, hoping to get her parents to let her and her brother visit grandma.
