After 20 years as a construction foreman, I’ve seen a lot of entitled people,
but nothing quite like the mom who decided to park in our no-parking zone
and refused to move when I asked. She simply told me to “deal with it,” and
that’s when karma took over in a big way.We were working on a construction
site located halfway up a mountain—well, more like a steep hill—so our only
access for deliveries was a small footpath with two marked no-parking spots.
These spots were crucial for unloading materials, especially when we had big
deliveries coming in. On this particular day, we were expecting a lumber delivery,
and as I was clearing the loading zone, I noticed a woman parked in one of the spots,
texting away in her car.walked up to her window and politely explained the situation,
asking her to move. She barely glanced at me and told me, “I’ll just be a few minutes,
your truck isn’t here yet, take a chill pill.” With that, the window went up, and I was left standing there.
