As patients with Crouzon syndrome age, strabismus, deafness, and blindness often worsen. Disability almost always occurs, and intellectual disability can also be a cause.
However, many patients, with proper and timely treatment, live to old age. Unfortunately, there is no developed prevention for Crouzon syndrome.
