A tragic incident occurred at a PA Trump Rally, resulting in the loss of Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old former Pennsylvania volunteer fire chief. He died shielding his daughter from a sniper’s bullet during an attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
Corey’s sister, Dawn Comperatore Schafer, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, stating, “The PA Trump Rally claimed the life of my brother, Corey Comperatore… Hatred has no limits, and love has no bounds.” His daughter, Allyson, wrote, “He shielded my body from the bullet that came at us. He loved his family. He truly loved us enough to take a real bullet for us.”

Corey’s wife, Helen, expressed her grief, saying, “Yesterday… turned into a nightmare for our family. What my precious girls had to witness is unforgivable. He died the hero he always was.” The family’s loss highlights the senselessness of violence and the boundless nature of a father’s love.
Corey’s bravery and love for his family will be remembered by those who knew and loved him. His tragic death will not be forgotten.
