Matthew Perry death, source of ketamine being investigated by law enforcement

Investigators probing Matthew Perry’s death are reportedly still looking into how the “Friends” actor got hold of the ketamine that was found in his system at the time of his death — and are trying to zero in on who is responsible for supplying him with the deadly drug.

The 54-year-old actor, who long struggled with addiction, was found dead in his hot tub in October with the equivalent of the general anesthesia given to surgical patients in his system.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ there is an ongoing investigation into where Perry got the ketamine — and who provided him with the toxic drug.

Both local police and the DEA are reportedly involved in the investigation.

Sources told TMZ that authorities have already interviewed key people in Hollywood, namely people who have a history of drug use or abuse.

No arrests have been made.

The beloved comedic actor was found dead in the jacuzzi of his home in the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles this past October. Initial reports indicated that he had drowned, however, a toxicology report confirmed he died from acute effects of ketamine.

Perry — who was not married and had no children — was open about his decades-long battle with addiction in his memoir, “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.”

He went to rehab 15 times and had undergone 14 surgeries to try and mitigate the damage done to his stomach lining due to alcohol and opioid use.

The actor claimed that he almost died in 2018 due to a gastrointestinal perforation. He spent two weeks in a coma and five months in the hospital. He also had to use a colostomy bag for nine months.

In 2022, Perry claimed he had spent close to $9 million getting sober over the years — and finally triumphed. The star had been drug and alcohol-free since May 2021.
