1. My Ex-Husband Returned After 10 Years—but Not for the Reason I Expected
The last person I expected to see at my door after a decade was my ex-husband, Josh.
When he left me and our two-year-old daughter, Chloe, without a word, I
never thought I’d hear from him again. Yet here he was,
a shadow of the man I once knew, asking for another chance.
Josh and I had a whirlwind romance. His charm and wit swept me off my feet, and we built a life together.
But cracks appeared soon after our wedding. Josh’s frugality,
which I once admired, became a source of tension. Arguments over money grew frequent,
and when I became pregnant with Chloe, the pressure only mounted.
Despite his initial excitement about becoming a father, the weight of responsibility overwhelmed him.
One evening, I came home to find a note on the kitchen table: “I can’t do this anymore.
I’m sorry.” Beside it were signed divorce papers. He vanished, leaving me to pick up the pieces.
